    SFR Reapplication of Sunscreen?

Hi, I had a non- melanoma (squamous cell carcinoma) get out of hand when I was 32. Multiple surgeries that made me even uglier and month long gnar course of radiation… heck I am going back in Thursday for another surgery 18 years later! As you know it isn’t just melanoma to pay attention to...

    Farlows

I went into that Farlows a couple years ago when I was visiting my sister. I was surprised at how kinda stark and new everything looked. Nice shop though.

    What are you listening to?

I saw them play with the San Francisco Symphony one night. That version of One was pretty interesting. I was kinda roped into the show, but enjoyed it. If they have the chance to go to one of those I’d recommend it.

We did a year fish for salmon and halibut with beach fishing for cutties and Dollie’s in June. Flew into Gustavus via Juneau. It was really fun.

    Edge Fly Rods mini review

I was just checking emails…. Not directly. I did get a response that they had to order the blanks from the factory. I thought it was all the same spot but maybe the blanks are made on a different track than the whole rods.

    Edge Fly Rods mini review

I bugged them regularly. They sent me an email when it was ready to ship, everything else was me.

    Edge Fly Rods mini review

I bought a 9’9. Did not get a tube. It was delayed longer than the initial timeframe significantly. The staff has been very friendly and communicative about the time and no tube. I think the rod is beautiful. It is a cannon and I like a more chill rod. But once I get the hang of it, if I get the...

Best taste/value cut and method to cook a steak...

I get my steak fix with asada. Either flank steak or ranchero at the carniceria. Marinate and hit it on a hot griddle. Guessing this wasn’t quite the steak you were originally referring to, but figure it should not get overlooked!

    Chili Verde

How do you process them to store that long? Are they roasted and then bagged per serving size or one big bag. I cannot seem to freeze peppers correctly

Trip to Northern California July 26 - Aug 5, fishing closed?

Iirc it does. And iirc I had a blackberry cobbler for dinner and another one for dessert last time we were there. It was a fun surf/coastal cutties in the lagoons trip. We like to camp at the big lagoon county park.

In the Forks near the Hollywood "Yellowstone"

We just drove through there on our way to visit family up in whitefish. The entrance to ‘the ranch’ had deputies and a credentials checkpoint out front. We saw the cardboard cutouts in town too!

Which trout would you prefer to eat

I have had great lahontan cutthroat and muddy ones. The smaller the better. I also at some sea run Dollie’s in Alaska that were amazing. Someone mentioned Eagle lake trout and those are my fave.

Which trout would you prefer to eat

Were you at Tungstar mine? Edit: looks like Tungstar closed by the ‘60s? Kinda hard to tell. It says there is another tungsten mine above called Adamson which I’ve never seen or heard of.

    Non-Fly Steel vs Braid

Slight thread hijack-sorry! Does switching to braid help with whatever the ‘electric current goes down to your bait and scares off the fish’ issue is called? I am certain that must be the reason why I don’t always limit out when kokanee fishing.

    Saltwater small boat choices.

I spent a lot of time in a Montauk in Chesapeake Bay, which is known for short steep chop. It is pretty slammy in that stuff. Not sure what the Salish is like.
