    Tru oil finish

Can I use it instead of spar varnish to refinish a fiberglass Fenwick rod?

    Tru oil finish

Do you have to rotate the rod as it is drying?

Adding Micro Swivels to Sinking Lines

It has helped me reduce line twist because bulky un weighted flies would aometimes spin during casting. Plus it was easier to change tippet size without stepping down a leader with blood knots and constantly clipping back. Figured I would get this in before being banned!😀

Adding Micro Swivels to Sinking Lines

Me too, on all my interchangeable sinktips, 12” butt section to swivel. Usually size 10 to 14 Spro swivel because they are small and strong. I have used other brands before but had a couple of them break pulling off snags so only Spro for me.

    Echo Fiberglass Spey

Thanks I will have to look at those. My Pfluegers are full cage and I do own a smaller Teton that I really like.

    Echo Fiberglass Spey

What reel do you use? I think I need to add a little weight to mine because the rod balance seems tip heavy. Maybe it shouldn’t bother me but my graphite rods balance nicely with relatively light reels.

    Echo Fiberglass Spey

If I don’t fish it regularly it takes me a while to get the right pace. It has made me a better caster by being more conscious of lower hand and tip path.

    Echo Fiberglass Spey

I use a 420 Skagit on mine with up to 10’ of T-11. The rod sure likes a nice smooth even tempo throughout the cast and letting the bottom hand do the work. I like fishing it a lot.

    Screws in bootfoots?

I siggest you get replacement spiked felt soles and follow instructions and glue them on. I have done that in the past, fairly simple and it works real well.

I suppose if it had some skein then being a female it wouldn't have milt sacs. That all looks like intestine.

NFR It's been awhile since I've had a State Champion.

Hey flymph did you pull a muscle straining while watching the match? My parents said they were exhausted after watching me and my brothers wrestle. Congrats on having a state champ!

You think our steelhead seasons are short or unfair? How about a 65 minute fishing season...

I believe this is spearing them through a big hole in the ice and not rod and reel.

Funny to see that. I recently had the hardest time finding medium and large mylar tinsel! Finally got some from J Stockard.

    NFR Battery powered chainsaw(s)?

I have the Stihl MSA 140 12” bar 36v 4.5 ah battery. I rarely grab the gas Stihl anymore because the battery is so convenient. I get around 80 cuts on 6-10” oak and maple wood before charging. I would guess about 20 minutes of continuous run time and the batteries also fit my Stihl leaf blower...

    RIP David Crosby

Back in the early 70’s I saw CSN&Y as the headliners of the World Series of Rock at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Also on the bill was Jesse Colin Young, the Band, and Santana. It was an all day concert and still the best concert I have been to.
