In my experience the summit fish were more colored up and the pilot peak fish are bright. I included two pics of pilot fish and a big summit.

You can tell by the fight. Pilot peak fish will take you into your backing and give you line burn on ur hand. Summit fish are much more docile.

I smoked a big ol brooder pellet head back in the day…I don’t know what the hatchery pellets taste like, I think i have pretty idea what they would taste like after a good alder smoke

I think a 10’ 4 wt is a do it all rod for most trout streams. For dries on a river I’ll take a 9’ 4wt if it’s not windy. Wind I’ll go up to 9’ 5wt I like a 9’ 6wt for chuckin meat.
