Just fished there for a day. 13-16 for the norm. Heard of 18 inch fish, but caught a wack of fish and none that big. Good midge hatch, fun, but in the old days 20+ fish would have meant a sore right arm. Better quality fish at many lakes in central WA.

Leaves me out as I only have even hooks.

I'm headed to Anchorage, for this week, hoping that somehow that may get me my snow and ice fix for March. Good luck to all who brave the opener!!

If you want to see birds often the best viewing is just driving around the roads South of Town. Blitzen should be worth fishing, Krumbo isn't drawn down to zero like most of the other reservoirs. Check the ODFW recreation report for up to date conditions.

My son just flew to Turkey with his pack-raft. He checked his bag too and none of it showed up until a week late. Not what you would want to happen.

Whitetop. Takes over huge tracts in EO. Spreads via roots or seeds, and takes a special herbicide to kill. No redeeming values at all. KInapweed when I was in Montana.

If a birding vacation is in order the Potholes area is good, but Mahleur and Burns, Oregon is spectacular if you hit it right.

Was a warm windy day Rex. Was fish slime line, beadhead seal bugger and retrieving after a 5 count so within the top couple of feet. Fish were similar in size, but I caught more rainbows than tigers. I plan to fish it in the spring.

I fished that lake too, Rex a couple of weeks ago on a fairly windy day. Fishing was slow for a lake I knew had lots of fish, until I started ripping the flies back a warp speed, then it was at least a bite on almost every cast.

Another positive review here Shawn. Great product, but you will get cold. They take a while to inflate using the pump that comes with them. My son has three for his business.

Going trolling with a friend tomorrow. He caught a nice fish today and my other buddies who fish salmon are catching on downriggers. Is there any point in bringing along 8 weight and some streamers in case we see bait close to surface?

I'm going to the Ft. Myers area to help a friend with moving. Will be staying for 5 days and am thinking about taking a day to fish. Does anyone have information on guides or DIY in the area. I may have access to a canoe on the Orange River and have an 8 weight I can bring along. Thanks...
