    Net Management on the Beaches?

I have never used a net on the Columbia while pluncking , seen plenty of fish lost because of nets.

    Republican Debate

Let us just not go there . Politics do nothing but divide families and friends . Just go to a river and experience peace . It does not matter if you catch or not. This is a fishing site , try to keep that in mind.

    kill nets

It would be nice if O.D.F.W. cared about our salmon hatcheries and stop spending money on pellet heads.

    kill nets

Well , here we again . The usual fall circus . I guess it will never end . They add just about nothing to the economy compared to sporties . I would like to know who buys fish that have been laying dead in 71 degree water for hours and are not bled. Cat food ? We really need that ballot measure...

When were the “good old days” of salmon fishing

Late eighties , Clackamas , caught so many hatchery springers I was giving them away. Bobber and eggs just below River Mill dam. No more . Thanks O.D.F.W. ! You folks are awesome !

Was I ahead of my time?

Good question ! The heaters do not work very well also. In a cold wet country. That Healy 3000 MK 3 was pretty fast.

Was I ahead of my time?

Then there was the MGC , they jammed the Heally 6 cylinder into a MGB a lot faster but front heavy . Some of the MGBs had overdrive to keep the rpm down . Wish I had kept it. There are still a lot of MGs around and parts are not a problem. The gals loved it.

Was I ahead of my time?

Very nice , did it have the knock off spinners ? My MGB did , brass hammer to hit them with to get the tire off. Reverse threaded. Also does it have a single S.U. carb or 2 ? I could go on and on. My favorite British one was the TR 6 . Cars today are so boring . S.U. carbs , it stands for...

Was I ahead of my time?

In my younger days I raced a 1967 MGB , wire wheels . It was fun . Also played with Triumph and a Healy 3000. Those British cars were fun but I spent more time fixing then driving. A friend of mine had a P 1800 Volvo , fast and reliable. To this day I think that P1800 was one of the best sports...

    O.D.F.W. fishing reports

Short staffed ? Since there are less and less fish around for them to " manage " there should be lay offs just like any other business.
