    Montana

It took a solid summer for my wife to get comfortable on the sticks. Had Adipose put on a Teflon coating after that summer. Most of my friends can’t row nor willing to learn. That’s why I bought a small outboard and casting platforms for my Adipose. Planning on targeting gulpers & Carp this...

    Jet boats

Anyone on here using a jet boat in MT? I’m looking for something in the 16-18ft range that I can use for hunting & fishing through out Montana. 70/30 split between river and lake use. Mostly fish with one or two people max so I don’t need a lot of room. I’m really torn on whether to get a...

Some where in the Rocky Mountains.

To each his own. I personally feel that hot spotting a location on a public forum is bad etiquette. I’m sure many people, especially MT residents would agree. This isn’t the Madison or the Yellowstone, and this fishery is already declining due to pressure. One of my favorite places to fish in SW...

Some where in the Rocky Mountains.

Your correct. I was guided, my wife rowed my fat ass down that river for 7 days. We used a packer to get In/out. Trust me, he doesn’t need any publicity. The prime dates are booked out at least a year in advanced. I’m not going to hot spot this location. If I did, then you’d get people from NH...

Some where in the Rocky Mountains.

Truly a magical place. I overheard that they might be implementing a permit based system in the near future.. I can feel the pain in my legs by just looking at some of those photos. I’ll add more details and photos at some point this week.

SFR Anyone used one of those Outdoorsy/RVshare type websites to rent a camper?

overall, we had a great experience. I believe my wife paid for the highest tier insurance through Outdoorsy. Cant imagine totaling a 200k sprinter. I would highly recommend taking a bunch of interior and exterior pictures. At least that way there are no questions asked when you return a vehicle...

SFR Anyone used one of those Outdoorsy/RVshare type websites to rent a camper?

My wife and I rented a sprinter van through Outdoorsy and traveled around Alaska for two weeks. I would be hesitant to list anything personally. Can’t imagine the abuse some of these vehicles see. Some people have no respect for other people’s property.

Some where in the Rocky Mountains.

My wife and I have been planning this trip for years. We finally checked it off our bucket list this past summer. We packed up our Sotar, a few rods and some dehydrated meals. It was a brutal ten hours on horseback traveling 30 miles over the mountain pass. We got to the confluence a few hours...

NFR 2021-2022 Ski Thread - Let it Snow

I’m pretty certain they posted a story on Instagram claiming 12” inches but I can’t seem to find it now. Maybe they retracted it because their post of a few hours ago now states 4-8” total. Marx was closed today so might to brave the cold for one tram lap tomorrow.

NFR 2021-2022 Ski Thread - Let it Snow

Not quite first chair but I’ll take it considering the holiday weekend. Big Sky reported 8”overnight. Got a few decent runs off Six Shooter before it was tracked out.

    Let's see your flotilla😀

Sold the raft since we were using the drift boat 99% of the time. Got a 3.5hp motor which is nice for cruising some of the smaller lakes for trout/carp. Currently looking to add a jet boat..

NFR How's the housing market where you live?

Located in Big Sky, MT. We purchased our home in 2019 and it has more then doubled in value In the last 3 years. I’m glad we bought when we did because we would be priced out if we were to buy in todays market. I’ve seen multiple homes in the area that are going sight unseen, cash offer, over...
