I agree to a point. I have an old pair of the Simms extreme boot foots and those things are clutch when it’s super fucking cold. Just heavy as all get out! 😂
I’d be ok letting Bob Fergburger get that state income tax going if he’ll restart the S. Fork Sky summer run hatchery.
We need hatchery reform and habitat improvement simultaneously, or we won’t be fishing in WA for steelhead in the near future.
I firmly believe our population and culture is...
I love the Nextcast Coastal…I have it in F/Int and it is a killer for small water/ pocket water winter swings. That and 10’ of T-11 or the MOW 5’/5’ int/T11 or 14.
It’s also as rewarding as work can possibly be IMHO. I teach 7th and 8th grade math. It is not glorious, but every single day I get the chance to mentor students that have no one else looking out for their academic success/acquisition of basic math skill.
The old Nextcast WA and FF35 is so sick for 10’6”-11’6” rods….I have it on an Echo Glass 6110-4 and it’s my favorite rod for skating summers.
I think they remodeled that line and call it the Undertaker? Idk what changed, I hope nothing bc I’m going to need a new one soon. Lots of cracks Ive...
I hope it was a factor! They ruined a pretty pure and original thing that many of us had enjoyed and benefitted from for a long time.
The choice you all made to create this forum is bright spot in a world of bullshit that is the past several years.
They should put a quota on steelhead for guides at Drano, I saw so many limits out of there it was insane. It’s funny that you have to catch double clipped fish at Ringold but everyone smashed Drano so hard this year and no one cares where those fish were headed.
I know I watched that film religiously. I first saw it at a friend of a friends place in Sisters back in like 2006ish idk, but then I pirated it soon after….fast forward to 2008 I met Lani at Bob Clays place on the Kispiox…I lied and told Lani I bought it lol.
Well not as good as last year, but we’ve been finding fish. Had a couple good days in town and then headed up with the horde to fish Brewster for a few days. Limits were caught, and the fish are on average much bigger than last year. Get ‘em while you can!
+1
They are so sick. I’ve fished in everything Patagonia and Simms have had to offer over the last 20 years and those foot tractors are the best by far and away.
I’m a pacifist these days, lol. It’s a stupid argument anyhow. I love these lakes, you love these lakes, that’s all that matters. I’m very discouraged by the states lack of desire to keep the basin lakes as good as they have been in the not so distant past, and I’m not sure the royal “they”...
I’m fighting the urge to pick a fight.
I know you’ve witnessed first hand that most of our stillwater options out here in EWA are absolutely thrashed by the public. I’m for gating/trailheading it all and making it walk in.
