I too use kold kutters. Just swapped mine out after 5 years. They do eventually wear down. Also to note they will cut through a line like butter when fresh if you step on your line and something hard.

They typically aren't sterile i thought. Triploids are sterile which bows and cutties both can be.

Its not. Back when they stocked it with chums it was called the "chums N bums derby" because of the mission next door. Makes the samish seem like a secluded getaway.

I'd agree with these observations. Seems like good sized fish are barely in buzz bomb range. All my beach attempts on the fly have resulted in only shakers. Boat is a much different story.

Buddy and I got into 10-12 on the fly in my boat today. Hit a beach that normally doesnt have too bad of boat traffic. Question: when did it become the norm to sworm a boat that gets a fish on? Hard to get away from folks if they come running when they see you hook a fish.

Got my smoker humpies for the season. Fly fishing from my boat. Left 1 slot open looking for a Coho. Big mistake.
