    What are you listening to?

Great ballad that bounces between narrative and lyric poetry. I love songs like that. Alas, the first thing that comes to mind when I hear this are the lyrics we created in college. I had a roommate with the last name Fitzgerald and this was our crew's drinking song. Predictably we would...

    NFR Hockey

Enjoy it. The stars are aligned for bean town. Nice to get a guy off the street and suddenly be a vezina goalie. As long as you guys beat the NY, NJ and PIT teams I'll be rooting for you.

That was the sweet spot for me before those fish moved beyond my grasp. Really missing those trips.

    Dumbest Thing On The River

The combination of water, gravity and youth can be a wet, hard and cold lesson. When I was a kid, hurricane Gloria flooded the creek in my best friend's back yard. During the storm a group of us neighborhood kids played a game of tackle football in his yard. We were soaked head to toe in mud...

    Deschutes Closes For Steelhead 6/1

Really sorry to see this. I love that river and for several years it was part of my annual swing though the Columbia river system where we fished the Deschutes in Sept, the Grand Ronde in Oct, and the JD in Nov chasing those summer run fish. I hope this is the bottom and it's up from here...

I love the imagery of this song. Captures what I love about that city.

    What are you listening to?

Love Gaucho. The groove of that album is amazing and it hits you in the first bar of each song. Jazzy punk.

    What are you listening to?

Not alternate tuning but I've loved this song from the moment I heard it. It's got the 12 string capo thing that just sounds amazing. And of course the lyrics. What a talent.

NFR How's the housing market where you live?

Albula - I'm having a 21ft tunnel hull skiff on a jack plate built to fish out of Crystal River. Hundreds of linear miles of fly fishing open here that I'm anxious to explore.

NFR How's the housing market where you live?

I'm in Lecanto (Citrus county). Love it! One of the reasons I decided on this area is the new extension that recently opened on the Suncoast Parkway to Crystal River. I'm about 70 miles from Tampa but can be there in an hour.

NFR How's the housing market where you live?

I sold my house in Snohomish Co in April for 15% more than listing and 65% more than a comparable properly across the street sold in 2020. My agent thought I should have held out for more. He was right. Apparently it's already increased in value by $15K since April. Crazy. I feel very...

    What are you listening to?

Surprised no mention of Alan White's passing. Long time Seattle resident; progressive rock drummer legend. Cool guy. RIP I hope your family got your kit back.

    NOF 2022

Good to see those strong Coho numbers although I'll say we didn't see the same great fishing at Neah last summer that Nick and his Cohort saw down at Westport. But with Neah closed (again) it was a long run from Sekiu and we had a lot of tough marine conditions last year. When we did make the...

Free rio gallegos waders and bag

Thanks Josh. Yeah, they're the only zipper waters I've owned and they work great. For those interested they don't have any major leaks or repairs but I have noticed some slight moisture on my fleece pants after wearing them. The bottom line is they work well and if they do leak I'm sure they...
