    Yellowjacket equinox

Agreed. But I think these traps can be helpful early in the season, to try to capture a queen that's out looking for a place to establish her colony. At least that's how I use them.

    Non-Fly trout?

This piqued my curiosity so I went and found that they still make them, and they are still $10! https://www.rapala.com/us_en/countdown?childSku=us-CD01BTR What length would #9 correspond to, maybe 1" or 1.5"?

Gear Review Floating line for Hopper Dropper

Not sure if they still have any left, but Sierra Trading had SA Mastery GPX floaters (in green color) for a long time. I grabbed several in 5 and 6 weights over the past year. Edit - just checked, they still have them in 4, 5 and 6 weight. $35.

    Wheel bearing protectors flying off

I've never used them, but was curious about how they are installed. I found this video: So it appears they are just pressed in and you have to select the size to match the actual ID of your hub. Do you have digital calipers and can get a solid measurement of your hub ID?

Also paper wasps fly relatively slowly compared to yellow jackets, and the have long dangly legs you can see when flying. They're also (usually) pretty docile and not prone to making trouble. Usually.

    Curious. Best integrated spey line?

I have an older Beulah Elixir 6/7 integrated line that I love on my Rainshadow 6wt switch rod. I’ve tried to get more but they no longer offer the Elixir (or Tonic) in an integrated line, only as heads. The Elixir is a scandi line, Tonic is a skagit. I wish there were more integrated lines...

    Non-Fly trout?

In that same vein, my go to lake trolling set up for non-fly folks is a wedding ring spinner, but instead of tipping the hook with bait, run a small nymph, Carey fly or hair leech about 24” behind the lure. Edit- just checked my spinning rod upstairs to refresh my memory of the set up. Looks...

*lol* Gemini is good at cliche.

I love the theme of the story, but yeah, it's a bit "cluttered" with descriptive details. There's a fine line in writing between painting a scene with words and over-doing it.

    Floating the Yakima

Some folks bring a frisbee to use as a paddle if you need to move quickly or change directions.

    Float trip heat

The only thing I would add is one of those lightweight UV Buff neck gaiters. Those are great because you can soak it in the river to get it wet, then pull it on and it will cool your neck and head.

    Personal Health?

Like Stonefish I gave up all alcohol about 4 years ago and that's been the best for my health. Blood pressure dropped magically back to healthy levels and the sleep is so much better and restorative now. But it sure wasn't easy and I count myself lucky that I was able to do it on my own. Oh...

    NFR Rats.... @#$%ing rats.

You can add a few cups of that pink RV water system anti-freeze to the water. It has a bit of an embalming effect on the carcasses. You still gotta check and empty it regularly though. But I think it helps with the stink.
