I did my G3's with the Aquaseal plus Neo, and after unwrapping the tape they seem solid. I used shoe goo on the freestones and they have been taped up for going on 48 hrs. Might just leave em taped for 3 days. Iim going to to take both pairs on my trip weekend of the 20th and test em out

I received the Caddis felt sole replacement kit. It comes with 1.5 ounces of Aquaseal +Neo (neoprene contact cement). Not sure how good it is, or if 1.5 ounces is enough for two boots

How much did it cost? I found the caddis replacement felt kit at sportsman's for like $13 apiece. I figure for that price, it's worth a try.

Any of you bought the caddis kit and re-soled boots? I have two Pairs of Simms boots that I had one of the soles come off. Uppers are in great shape. Found a YouTube vid where they used a ton of shoe goo and duct taped the hell out of it. Is this the way?

Our big un-match the hatch a-ha moment came at Hot Creek.......big fish sipping tiny midges....denial, after denial. Foam beetle🪲 was the ticket. Foam beetles slayed on Baum Lake too. Luckily, my wife was not waiting in the car either time!

I'd spend a day on the Met for sure. Check in with Fly Fishers place in Sisters. I've never hiked in on the D above LBC, always wanted to. Lots of water below LBC, on lower D, between warm Springs, and Trout Creek.

I dig it man! I've used deer hair from animals I've harvested......pheasant tails, etc. I think that is one of the coolest parts of fly fishing/tying.

Makes sense to me to have balanced leech on bottom, sitting horizontal.......I like to use a loop knot so it bounces more. If you put the leech off a horizontal dropper might as well not use a balanced leech. I think the same applies to nymphing rivers. If I'm using a big jigged point fly, I...
