oh man that thing is so sick, i would love to rock that frame, but dont have any sort of budget for it. i am thinking about doing a few custom painted frames this summer and NGL i think now one of them might need a fish theme. the other theme i am planning for is a e WA basalt/lichen theme. i...

absolute bullshit im mad (spokane locals please read)

i have not had any issues with FOIA requests from WDFW. the public information officers even call/email to clarify what documents and if anything, have been super helpful. im gettting things like all the published technical papers, years of enforcment/creel check type data, etc. i do understand...

the sad reality is that a reduction in service calls does not equal less crime. many residents have simply given up on calling the cops for minor things, because they wont respond.

yes they are responding. its not my first rodeo. i have a massive request in with WDFW at the moment.

do you have a source for this claim? not trying to be a dick but im currently doing a bunch of research on enforcment and river trends, and have made multiple FOIA requests to aid me. if you have a real source for this, i would love to add it into my data set.

good point... the gravel bike is basically the euro nymphing of cycling... sure, you can ride it like a road bike (dry fly) or a downhill bike (streamer), but nothing can compare to it when it comes to the effeciancy and "in touch" sensation you get in any use case. you can really feel and react...

that line is blurry. i think it comes down to comfort. you can put rigid forks on any xc hard tail, and they make suspension forks like the lauf, or even some gravel frames that can run XC front forks. the biggest difference is hand positions and bar choices. lots of people prefer drop bars for...

ive rode a few downhill bikes though not recently. i have not been on any modern e-downhill bikes, but i cant imagine the extra weight (15-20lbs)does them any favors. im just basing it on what local riders and friends have told me of there experiences with them. They are fine, they work, but...

ah you mean like the salmon and steelhead runs of years past! will the damage already be done? Will every e-biker think they have a god given right to cut switchbacks? lol

well, its not a bad idea. there is no reason to use one. bikes are fine to lay on the ground (drivetrain facing up) or lean agaisnt a tree. but the real issue isnt a style thing, its a safety thing. many a bad crash has occurred on offroad bikes from the untimely deployment of a kickstand.
