I’m a north sound guy (shilshoe), I’ve fished for src twice, caught zero, and I’m hooked. I look forward to spending the next couple of years learning this fisheries. I’ve caught fish, now I enjoy learning something new, and I’m convinced src will be worth the effort.

Truly beautiful

When I dug out my fly tying stuff after 25 years I never did find my container of bucktail. I have just tied flies with the materials I have on hand while I rebuild my skills. Guess it’s time to search for some bucktail.

It was beautiful on Tuesday, managed to hook a couple up near Cle Elum.

Only three boats between the two of them? Oh well, I guess they are young still.

Stunning fish, reel and fly. I’m just a couple of years into this, and switched this year to a scandi, just to see if I like the feeling better than a Skagit. So far so good, can’t cast big flies as far, but I love it.

Love it with the soft hackle

I put away my model A after 25 years and went with a Peak about five years ago. It is a way better vice than I am a fly tier, but so was the model A.

Mostly a row boat for Puget sound. 16 ft swampscott dory.

I have a plastic shelf so they sit off the ground and air gets to all sides. Unfortunately there is always enough time between trips that they are bone dry.
