I'm going to Colombia for a couple of months this spring. Will be in Bogota and Santa Marta, maybe some other places. Anyone done any fishing in that region? I know there are a couple of fly shops in Bogota, but any connections or advice would be welcomed. Thanks!

That scenario, I believe, is the most satisfying of all in fly fishing.

Not the prettiest catch last year, but definitely the least expected. Trout fishing in Montana, and my friend/guide said one section of the river had pike and we should bring an 8-weight. Sure enough! Also caught a bunch of beautiful trout. Fantastic week with friends and lots of fish.

I'll second the 3 wt. Winston WT. Totally agree that it feels like a 1 wt. My absolute favorite small stream rod (and I also have a 1 wt). I also have the 8' 4 wt Pure, and it's a sweet rod, but there's not much area where I think those two rods overlap.
