This is a spot on the East Walker River. I would like to have the time, money and talent to "paint" this "picture". I do not...but I can sure as hell play with AI

Kind of reminiscent of my doodling on my junior high school notebook...No great works of art.. but good for the soul.

I used to fish the Owens River in the Eastern Sierras. Admittedly this is "AI Slop" but it does evoke some good memories.

I posted five different images in this thread . Perhaps those images were just "AI slop"... but so far I have yet to see any other AI images . To be clear folks, I am challenging you all..to do better than me at AI imagining regarding your personal fishing endeavors. All in good fun.

    SFR AI imagining...it's fun!

OK... my thread .. let's all step back and take a deep breath. Let's all acknowledge that this is a "hot topic". Long ago, I, personally, made money from artistically rendering images of products for commercial purposes. I would not want to be in that business now that AI is here. That being...

Thanks for sharing Capt ... I would truly appreciate any input of images that have been inspired by this thread. I can only imagine what this could lead to. No doubt many of us have fish stories that could be illustrated (literally) with AI.

This stuff is scary, and it might be something that most of us don't want to be forced to learn about....but come on folks...maybe we can have some fun with this stuff...Dip your toe in the water, ask gemini to create an image from your first memory of catching a fish. I double dog dare ya.

"No real personal skill involved"... Capt... that is the magic. Anybody can do this.

I actually asked gemini to give the fisherman force fins after it produced this image.. For me, every image is a work in progress, but the above image is pretty much what AI spit out... with just some simple sentences spoken into my computer. After spending some time, I will have gemini produce...

I'm liking this thread. Any information is much appreciated. I was just thinking that, there are some smaller Large Mouth Bass in Heart Lake that I like to frighten from my float tube...AI gave me this image and yes that is exactly what this lake looks like.

But for me.. It is seriously a hoot to be able to create an image just by talking to the computer. AI is going to be a wild ride folks...Ima gunna try and have some fun wit it.

One million years ago our ancestors learned to control fire....AI will change humanity in an even more significant way. But instead of taking 1 million years.... it will take less than ten.

Any of us can now produce any image we choose. Angry river otters surrounding a tortured guy on a computer as in post# 25 ....or a beautiful fish in beautiful waters. The choice is yours to make.

    SFR AI imagining...it's fun!

I like the image in post #25. Just a short few years ago, this image would have taken an enormous amount of time to create. But now? .. just minutes and presto...and the kicker is...anyone can start to do it!

I am certain that one million years ago some of our ancestors believed that the newly obtained ability to controll fire was going to be the end of us all......Personally, I think that they were right.

I will re-state that I am a complete newbie, that does not know what I'm doing. Obviously a professional could use this AI for nefarious reasons. But it can also be used as a powerful tool for having fun. Cheers folks.

    SFR AI imagining...it's fun!

I did underwater photography as a hobby many years ago, using 35mm transparency film, in a Nikonos V with two lights. I later did some professional tabletop photography using 4x5 sheet film in a "view" camera. I worked with a guy that paid $30,000 for a six megapixel camera! We were the...
