Tried using one of those dragon tails for a coho fly. tail might be too long/big, but it looks feisty.

I've been in a few Port-a-Botes. With the benches and stuff, they're never as small as you think when you see the hull folded down. They get you around and work fine, but they're kinda spongey when standing to cast.

Update: Taken. I have a bunch of small Tiemco and a few Mustad hooks that I just don't really want to use. Mostly because they're mostly size 16 and smaller. Not sure of the age, but I've used some for ant patterns and gnats and caught fish. I'm in North Portland but will ship them for $5.

I try to be judicious with my use of Fluoro because of it's long lifespan. But I do prefer it.

I've done a couple of these (though nowhere near as nice) for nymphing in runoff conditions with a bright orange mustad jig. Works well but can also get caught on the bottom and in tangles. I've been meaning to try them for bass as well.

Yeah, that's why we parted with ours. Moved to a place with too small of a garage so we couldn't dry it out after each trip in the PNW. Loved our popup and kind of hate our hard sided trailer.

I'm looking to get a buddy a rod for his birthday, but not a really fancy one where a hand painted name or something would be part of the deal. Does anyone know a place to get that custom lettering added? Or even the decal route - do those hold up well enough?

Deadly on Chinook, as it turns out as well. My buddy caught the largest anadromous fish I've ever seen on a green pistol pete in SW WA. I'm fond of the flies -partly because my late step-father-in-law gave me several. Great for trolling as well, but they can mess up your tippet after a day.

I tried to chase Roosterfish in Baja this winter on a SUP and it was a pain. You have to be mobile and keep line out and not disturb the fish. It was a freakin' waste of time but really great exercise. Just as soon as you'd get near the spot with action, stand back up, get your line in the air...
