    Cutthroat fly color?

Now we gotta see this fly.

    West Fork Satsop launch?

Oh, yeah, I've figured it out. The boats came down the East Fork, which dumps in above the West Branch boat launch (but sometimes empties below the ramp when there's a lot of water).

    Madras OR

Lake Billy Chinook is big and can get windy. That sounds like a good boat for it. Same for Simtustus. Heck, all the Cascade Lakes can get windy in a hurry.

    Madras OR

Most definitely. If you do happen to get access to a boat, I've had some good days casting to the north bank of the Met Arm of the reservoir. Caught my first bully there.

    Madras OR

It's been a while, but I used to fish lake Simtustus a lot. Both trout and smallmouth are available, but it really helps to have a boat. It can be fun to cruise the bank and chuck wooly buggers and stip.

What is your favorite brand of fly line, leader and tippet and WHY?

My current favorite lines for casting are an SA heavy sink and Rio Tropical Outbound. I fell in love with trout hunter tippet for freshwater, but lost 6 $pools when they fell out of my pocket while releasing a fish on the Snake. I think I have a slight preference for SA tippet, but have started...

    What are you listening to?

Swan Valley Heights - German band, not named after the South Fork Snake.

    West Fork Satsop launch?

Thanks. I'm starting to think that's the only option. I can't find any public access to the west fork above the one ramp. Hopefully there will be enough rain to make the Decker launch work.

    West Fork Satsop launch?

I remember seeing boats on the river above the West Branch boat launch on the West Fork of the Satsop, but I can't figure out where they put in. Are they just putting in on the East Fork at Schafer? Every time I've spied the East Fork, it's been super skinny to the point of being unnavigable...

Non-Fly Jig Twitching - What you all doin!?

Heard. That's what I use most of the time. If I do tie more, I'll stick with natural stuff.

NFR Euro Cup and Copa America Finals

I was so bummed for Columbia. Talk about losing a game based on a few seconds.

    Gone locally…Backpacking stove

You can ship them ground only and they must be identified has containing flammable gas. This would be a nifty thing to add to a drift boat as well. Tempting....

Question for you folks regarding Securing Driftboat Oars

Obviously. There's a bed for me, and a bed for the rods.

Question for you folks regarding Securing Driftboat Oars

I just use a bicycle U-lock and have it go through the rower seat frame (former boat) or rear leg brace. And cover 'em.

    EVA foam decking

I've been told it does, but was hoping to hear about a non-sales person. :) If it can hold up to my insane GSP's claws, it'll hold up to my studs.

What fishing are you dreaming of right now?

Caught my first bonefish just before the new year and I can't wait to get back to the salt in February to chase Rooster and Dorado. But I'd also be happy to be sitting in the cold rain, rowing around a lake, searching for bows & cutties.

    EVA foam decking

I was at the Portland Boat Show last Wednesday before the weather hit and saw a booth for a guy doing decals, restoration, and EVA decking. He even have a before/after Willy's drift boat that looked pretty fantastic. I started to think about how great it would be to replace the crappy floor...

    Favorite superglue?

Thanks for all the responses. I'll check out the Loctite. I kind of expected more Zap a Gap considering how much it gets referenced in literature an videos, but maybe it's just being used like "Kleenex." Lots of other great tips too, like the sticky notes, rice jar, and pill bottle with steel...

    Favorite superglue?

I'm tying some saltwater flies and have been somewhat unhappy with the Krazy and Gorilla Glue I've been using. But it seems to be a better glue than the Loon Flow I use on freshwater flies. The Gorilla Glue applicator is horrible and is like coming your hair with a push broom. Any preferred...
