Boy does that bring back memories. My dad always used those polar bear flies when we trolled off the mouth of the Dewatta river on Hoods canal in the 1950s. Man we caught some great silvers then. Sometimes trolled so fast the flys would skip out of the water.

Same here, did it in front of the Skok.
On a trip to Campbell River, my mom had her drag set to tight. A big silver grabbed the polar bear fly and ended up snapping the rod.
We still landed the fish. My dad was pissed, not sure about my mom but my brother and I were laughing hysterically.
