We were at a friend's house last week, the house is very nicely decorated. I asked the wife why she didn't remove the warning labels off her pillows as they were noticeable, and she said that's against the law. We as a group explained it to her, and after she heard the story and reading the tags she laughed hysterically. She's been hating those tags her entire life as she thought it was illegal to cut them off blankets- pillows etc.
She went upstairs and cut the tag off her personal bed pillow, she came back downstairs swinging the label and said it's time for us to do a shot. We did the cheers and I'm still laughing.

Your friends wife isn't alone in her beliefs. A former coworker of mine was bitching one morning about those "do not remove tags" and said he'd gone ahead and cut them off. His foreman (a talented practical joker) said "Gary, I won't turn you in but did you know there's a reward given to people who notify the government about people who cut off the "do not remove" tags?" Gary exploded with a flurry of expletives (he's form Navy and knows how to cuss).... Chuck (the foreman) and I still get a chuckle when we think about it.
