Hello everyone,
I figured I'd throw this out there and do my due diligence. Has anyone here drawn the Washington Quality Bull Elk Toutle Tag for archery?
I was fortunate enough to draw the archery tag this year, and I was also lucky enough to get one of the Weyerhaeuser St. Helens drive-in access permits. I'm starting to put together my game plan and was curious if anyone here has hunted the tag in the past and would be willing to chat about the area.
I'm not looking for anyone's secret spots or honey holes. I already have a few general areas within the unit that I plan to focus on. I'm mainly hoping to learn more about the country, elk behavior, access, hunting pressure, or any lessons learned that could help me make the most of this awesome opportunity.
I really appreciate any advice or insight you're willing to share. Thanks in advance, and good luck to everyone this season!
