Caddis Nevada Opinions and Reviews

I have a number of floating fishing platforms including a heavier float tube but I'm looking for something light that I can throw in the back of my pickup and use for short walk-ins...a mile or less. This won't get a lot of use so I'm looking for something light at a lower price point. I think Costco might have these for 89$. For reference, the Nevada comes in at about 9 pounds and I weigh 180#'s.
Any and all opinions appreciated.

@Old406Kid, did you end up looking into these any further? In an older thread @Sir Homey mentions that, in his opinion, the Outcast Summit is more or less a copy of the Caddis Nevada.

No idea if that's true or not.

I keep thinking that I'd like a light tube for hiking to a few lakes. But I can never get myself to justify the money for an Outcast or a Wilderness Lite because I'm just not that much of a stillwater lake fisherman and I already have a Fish Cat 4 (~16lbs and foam seat). I trust Outcast/Wilderness more than I trust Caddis as far as quality. But it probably depends on your use case. The hike-in lakes I'd be likely to fish are far more lowland/foothills than alpine and a puncture or bladder failure would just mean a slightly chilly swim and hike back to the car. Not anything life threatening.

So for me, $90 for a Caddis Nevada might be worth the money if I ran across one at a local Costco.

That said, it sure doesn't SEEM like those tubes are at Costco this season. At least not those in Western WA/OR.

The Spokane Costco had them in their 'sporting goods" area right next to some entry level Redington fly rod packages.
I almost missed them as they had the boxes stacked so only the end flap was showing.
I bought one but haven't unpacked it yet due to some major prepwork and painting on the house.

Josh, I Googled the Summit and also came up with the Outcast Rise from Scheels w/free shipping ove 75$.

For the limited distances and usage you propose I think the Caddis will do you fine. If it doesn’t, well, yer only out $90. It’s a decent basic tube with no frills. Not even an inflatable seat.
9 lbs? They gained a couple lbs over the years. Don’t we all I suppose.
