Disrespectful attitudes towards wildlife.

What came to mind when I saw the video was this:
The dude paid for the flights, hotel, meals, ground transportation and then staked out a spot on the beach for himself and miss chubby cheeks. Miss chubby cheeks wanted to go in the water but was frightened by this rude animal that intruded on their tropical island vacation. How dare it! So, he felt as if he had to go all he-man on the critter to keep his masculinity intact.

Then again, maybe he's a third-generation commercial fisherman who has a deep dislike for pinnipeds.

I nearly always get the impression that some visitors treat areas that are new to them with great respect and long to return there someday with hopes that their next visit will be just as enjoyable. While others are of the mind that they'll never pass that way again, so they have no attachment or reverence for the area, thus they care not what happens it to it once they've had their go at it. The latter would be the bloggers and influencers.

Or I could just stay out of this trainwreck and get on with my day.

The reports I saw mentioned the A'hole apparently said he was rich and could pay any fine, so he didn't care - hope he serves time!!!
