Kona Boat Rental June 29-July 2-ish ???

Hey Gang. Thinking of renting a boat out of Kona around these dates. Anyone interested in sharing the expense and try something new? The family and I have owned motor boats since a very young age so I'm comfortable renting if the conditions are right. I've only fished from shore in Hawaii so this would be an exploratory mission.

Hit me up if you're going to be in Hawaii around these dates and let's see what we can dredge up. Aloha!
 
Not planning on it! But tempted. One of my few blue water trips was off the coast of Kona about 5 miles out.. back in 2000 sad to say! I caught a baitfish, but a Mahi Mahi (Dorado) was caught and I can still picture the fishes colors in my head! Mingo where are you these days? Let's go to the Big Island! Any other takers??
 
FYI for enquiring minds. Boat rental is around $650/day plus blah blah blah. For little more than the cost of a nice dinner, we could have most of a day to play.
