Decent first half, but after that the game was pretty boring...Unless you are a Chefs fan.
Do Not Go Chefs....
:)

@clarkman
You’ll like this one. The fact it is against the Cowboys makes the demolition even better. 😂
SF

I just saw that ....hilarious.

Sucks that Surtain is out for multiple weeks though.

It's difficult to contain a conspiracy of many people. The more involved, the more likely a leak from the conspirators.
However, you would need to actively be looking in most cases, for the cracks to appear.
Nothing to see here, because nobody looks.

The NBA has had referees shaving points already, and so it's more likely than not, given the current revelations, that the NBA has had ongoing issues in this regard, just a question of whether it's isolated groups of players feeding info, to bettors, or if the refs are again involved.
Don't know unless you look....and given the amount of money involved with the new sports betting....more likely than not there's corruption.

There's a reason sports betting has traditionally had a bad rap surrounding it.

Billionaires (the owners of NFL teams) will do anything they can to keep their number going up. It's like their whole purpose in life. If anyone has the resources to keep a lid on it, it's them. Doesn't need to involve thousands of people... owners group, a couple refs that get a little somethin... Not hard to believe there's something up.

Bad officiating is going to happen regardless. But there's a lot of game-altering patterns that keep happening.

So the owners of the losers are either stupid or getting paid.

Humans cheat in every aspect of life.

If I made money on my team losing. I wouldn't complain.

Which is more likely?
Officials having to make snap decisions on fraction of a second actions of some of the best athletes, (who in spite of this will make mistakes) in the world in real time and getting some of them wrong. (Which in certain circumstances can be reviewed.) Or,

A vast conspiracy involving billionaire ownership groups and the shareholders of the Packers to deceive the American public to try and generate even more profits in one of the most profitable enterprises around and put their anti-trust exemption at risk. I just don't see a group that refused to let Trump be an owner going to all that trouble and effort to fix games and award championships.

It seems that most of the troubling calls can be attributed to officials not viewing from the right angle, bad calls in the circumstances that cannot be reviewed and the fact that many calls are "Judgement Calls" by trained officials.

The cure? Put 22 officials on the field, one for each guy where we can surely get a flag on every call and drag the games out to 7 hours.

Players fuck up. Refs call 'em on it. Some rules are stupid. Looking at you "Ineligible Man Downfield".

They're definitely not "fixing" games or scripting or anything like that. But making calls to keep games close or get one team to cover a spread is a lot less of a stretch IMO.

With technology the way it is, so may of the calls they make can be made a whole lot easier like ball spots. The various spring leagues have several transparent ways they review from the field, from cameras and from the "sky judge" for any close or crucial calls. NFL won't have any of it. Seeing how much better the officiating was in those leagues when I watched them was wild to see.

The biggest issue with NFL referees, thanks to the absurd greed of the billionaire owners, is unlike the NBA they are part time workers, and most have other 'full' time jobs in banking, teaching, etc.
So regardless of their physical condition and lack of game pre-study time and ref team training, weekend warriors are making judgement calls on games that billions are spent on, and billions are being bet on.
Hubris of the owners at it's worse

. Some rules are stupid. Looking at you "Ineligible Man Downfield".
Amen to this stupidity. In a game in which the entire object of the sport is to get "Downfield", penalizing a player for doing this is beyond ludicrous. This seems like nothing more than a second tier ref getting a chance to throw a flag so his grand kids can see him on TV....

So then what , instead of the offensive linemen blocking at the line of scrimmage , just sent them all downfield to block for the receivers . I think we need to understand the rule .

I get the concept of the "ineligible man down field" rule, but it's one of those drive-killing calls that seems to be called at times of convenience. Usually during a crucial drive where a game-changing first down happens. It's one of those, like holding, that happens on MOST plays, but only gets called when they feel like it.
