What fishing/outdoor/etc stuff are you most looking forward to in 2025?

My annual trips have been canceled this year, not all is lost.
I will spend more time on the North Umpqua and Deschutes, and explore my home state a bit more. A couple road trips to the Owens Valley CA in the spring and fall, and I am still a lucky man!

In the event that current health predictions are indeed valid I really look forward to being a ready participant when Yardsale tries to land his first Atlantic Salmon this July north of the Arctic Circle in Norway. Largely because I already know the encounter will be just a mere portion of a journey that will truly be epic.

First goal is to actually go fishing. Haven't been out for a month now. This cold dry weather sucks!
March opener at Lenice unless the Seeger Effect hits hard. Give us a break @Shawn Seeger !!
Pre-spawn carp in some new spots with the new to me boat.
Local planters
Annual (missed last year) Deschutes trout trip
Italy & Greece in June, hopefully some shad from the Cedar or Columbia before that. Maybe see you on the Cedar @NRC ! I'll be the tall guy slinging the single-hand Skagit.
July is carp time this year!

Musky when I have time. Goal is to finally boat a 40!
SRC in the new to me boat.
September and early October musky & smallies
November means desert steelhead
December will hopefully be as mild as 2024 so I can hit the local winter trout, which could lead to shots of Crown with @Bambooflyguy

Excited to fish again, just been once this year with cold feet and no fish.
March trip to Central Washington and fishing Pinks on Whidbey in August
The Owyhee and NEO in June
A day for Bonefish on Molokai in April
May trip with 10 to the Douglas Ranch in BC
I'm excited to head off to some new waters!

• learning the single hand spey cast
• getting back to the Gifford Pinchot in the fall

Felt like it was time today. Sun is shining and it is WARM! Looking forward to the high country and hunting some Leopards in Bristol Bay in July. My daughter is showing more interest in the outdoors - time to step it up a notch.
