Hello everyone, canuck member from just north of the boarder, long time member of "that other forum".

While the sinking side of things has been beat to death over the years I have found far less info on floating lines.

Getting back into chasing searuns off the beaches and i really enjoy throwing poppers and gurglers, I have been using an SA MPX but I want to switch to a shooting head.

What is everyone using? Outbound short? 40+? SA titan??

Does the OBS floater have the same durability issues seen in the sinking lines?

I'm all ears.

Thank you!

I’ve been happy with the Airflo Streamer float. It doesn’t get a ton of use but it’s held up well for a number of years. I should have used it today.
The Sonar Titan would be a good choice as well. My OBS floater disintegrated in a short amount of time.

I read back to 2018 or 2017 on wff, really appreciate your input, a lot of my concern with Rio is based on your experiences.

I'll have a look at the streamer line.

Cheers

I really enjoy my Cortland Compact floater. Very aggressive taper, good for throwing chunky topwater flies.

I'm an obs guy situation dependent. sometimes its a sinker, often an inter to break the surface so the line gets pushed around less. Sometimes its a floater exclusively at a certain time of year
