Bluegill Bully... This is been, by far my most successful bluegill fly. It has lead in its butt, so it sinks, butt first as the elastic arms flutter, seemingly irresistible to the bluegills…strip and pause presentation..

Have you tried using leech patterns in this lake.?

Once, on the way up to Shoshone, we had fast fishing for 18” lakers where the creek enters Lewis. I couldn’t buy a fish in Shoshone though..

P.S. The Fly Shack has “factory overstock” lines. Their type 3 and 6 sink are pretty damn good, especially for $25..

I’m more targeting bluegills but, a type 3 full sink is versatile. Start stripping immediately over weed beds or countdown for deeper presentation. Juggling weighted and non-weighted flies with the presentation you want gives you a lot of choices.. It’s ended up being my go to line..

There’s an otter that hangs out under the fishing pier at Miller Sylvania state park that loves to steal fish of the lines of the surprised fisherman. Makes for some real entertainment..
