As others mentioned there will be a tradeoff when you're trying to do both of those things. I prefer my 10ft 3wt Echo Shadow X as my euro/combo setup.

I've been trying a similar system but swapping between mono rig and skagit head/tip with a loop to loop on the shooting line. Downside is the loop junction is a little janky if it runs through the guides while tight lining, but the leader is long enough that doesn't happen much.

I have the Contact I 10' 8". I'm sure it will throw a dry just fine, but it's not going to feel like casting a regular dry fly rod. Echo Shadow X would be better for that.
