My son-in-law, who is a hospice chaplain, says that one of the most common things he hears from his patients is that they wish they could go fishing one more time. You've got the chance and I hope you take full advantage. :)

I flew out of Boston that morning about 10 minutes behind one of the planes that went into the WTC. We were flying over northern NY when the pilot said that we'd be landing in Youngstown, OH, and that all planes in North American were being grounded. But he never told us what was going on. I...

Van Gogh is staring at the Mona Lisa's ass and his girlfriend, the girl with the pearl earring, is thinking "Seriously? I'm right here!".

I'm, unfortunately, going to need to back out due to some unforeseen circumstances. I had planned to bring lunch supplies, but won't be able to be there. I have a paid-up camping spot, so if anyone wants it, DM me. My regrets, seriously. I was really looking forward to this event. Hopefully next...

Don't get me started on Cabelas. I actively avoid that place.

I'll bring several loaves of homemade bread and enough sandwich stuff for a dozen people for two lunches. More if it looks like we'll have more.

Do we know how many folks to expect for this extravaganza?

I'll bring a few cobbs of homemade bread to go with meals, plus a couple of sides.

Hi All. I think that I have a tent that will work. So pending the transaction, this should be solved. Thanks to all, and I hope others may also find an exchange out of this thread.

I think this will be too big for me. Please pursue it if you want to.

Jerry, I don't have any particular claim on this tent. After all you've been through, I'll step back if you want to try and work out a deal with @Modest_Man

Yeah, there are some good deals on those sites at the moment, but we are seriously trying to not buy new stuff. We'd prefer to extend the working life of stuff that has already been made. But that's not always possible...

That's a seriously big tent!! Probably larger than what we need. It's just me and my wife. But I'll run it by her. My main concern is being able to set it up in a downpour, vs. a smaller tent with fewer poles. But I love the flexibility it would provide.

I'm looking for a larger tent for car camping. Something of good quality with a functional rain fly and enough room to move around when it contains a couple of cots. Roomy vestibule is a plus. Whatcha got in your basement that no longer gets any use? Thanks!

A slight tangent, but regulations in Canada are also endangering the recreational fishery. We currently face the possibility that recreational fishing for chinook and coho will be prioritized absolute last, after commercial fishing. This could be a devastating development for all recreational...
