    Caye Caulker, Belize

Yea- not saying its best practice to wander onto a random dock and just fish. That said- I believe that docks are public per Belize law. I never had to pay when I was last there in 2012. Here is a link to an article I found just cause I was curious if things had changed-...

gonna be in Kauai next week - should I bring fly gear?

I saw some giant bones while snorkeling at Anini mid-day with my 9 year old daughter. She spotted the first one while I was still putting on my mask. It was close to 10#'s and I was able to swim with it for awhile. The few I saw must be used to snorkelers because they didnt spook much as I...

    What Waders?

I've been wearing Simms G3's for years. I feel like I have seen durability decline or maybe its just that I'm hard on them? Anyhow- its time for a new pair of waders and I am debating between the Simms, Patagonia's and Skwala zippered waders. Anyone using the Patagonia's or Skwalas? Any advice...

Number of stocked fish in WA lowland lakes

Looked at the accessible stocking reports for Whatcom County and year over year shows a decline in both the number of fish stocked and the average size. I wish I could see number of License Sales by year and county to add to my graphs. I doubt that there has been a decrease in sales. I really...

Number of stocked fish in WA lowland lakes

In Whatcom County I have been impressed at how SMALL the fish are that WDFW has been planting. Does anyone actually keep 6 inch trout? Haha. These dinks barely bend a rod. Average "Fish per pound" for Whatcom County was 2.2 Fish or .4#'s per fish. 4/10's of a pound per fish sure seems like a...

Anyone use the Fishpond Thunderhead Hip Pack?

I bought the small version a few weeks ago and have been pleased with it so far. It wont fit a ton of gear, but it will fit enough. It rides on my hip without slipping down thanks to the additional sling strap. Comfortable and easy to use.

Anyone use the Fishpond Thunderhead Hip Pack?

Hi- Just wondering if any of you all have used the Fishpond Thunderhead Hip pack, and if so curious of your thoughts on it? I have used a number of different slings packs and find myself always just taking them off and leaving them on the bank while I fish. The one hip pack that I used in the...
