I just realized that I never posted an update after getting a name brand breaker. I bought the Blue Sea breaker and hooked it up. NO MORE ISSUES!!!! Thank you for setting me straight. Rich

I have used my battery with both a 30lb thrust and my 40 that has an internal PWM and the infinite speed adjustment and both are Minn Kota. The issue happens with both motors. Is it possible that my 50 amp breaker is the problem and not the higher voltage of the LI battery?

Any of you using LifePo4 batteries with brushed motors have problems? Any time I go over about 80% speed wise my breaker trips and it shuts down the motor. It happens within a few minutes maybe 5 max.

Damn! I wish I were closer, I’d snap this up in a heartbeat.
