    It's nice when the neighbors drop in just to chill and relax. (That bench washed in during a freshet about 6 years ago. If it's yours just wander downstream and take it home.)

    DT's are my preference, mostly because I started using them in the 70's and never found a reason to switch.

    Swamp thangs. Western Painted Turtle and bonus non-native coypu. This was a long telephoto shot and I didn't know the nutria was there until I downloaded the photo at home. The turtle is about the size of half a basketball. Western Painteds can live over 50 years in the wild.

    That's a nice shot of a female Eight-spotted Skimmer. A male would have white patches outboard of each dark wing spot patch, and with age, a bluish color to the abdomen.

    Got any bird pics?

    No plastic owls, but I took a really nice telephoto shot of a Snowy Owl that was WAY out there. When I enlarged the photo the bird turned into a muddy white pickle bucket.
