Who here has experience with the 1209 NRS slipstream or an Aire Super Puma, as I am weighing my options.

Yes! I have an integrated Comando on one of my trout Spey rods and love it- it seems to fly a bit more true than a head/mono line plus it flat out rips!

+1 for the SA flat mono. For winter I use the 40# chartreuse stuff, for trout Spey I use the 20#. The 40# is amazingly limp even after 4 years of thrashing on it.

I must need to work on my casting as I only fish my two hander 99.9% of the time. I wonder if the casting geometry changes are more prone to tail wrap. I’m guessing they are.

On the trout WB’s how do you keep the tail from wrapping around the bend?
