I used to drive up there a couple times a year, not willing to hike that far unless I camped.

We used to fish for quill backs and copper rock fish on the edges of the kelp, we'd keep a couple for dinner. I prefer them to lings for eating. It was a blast but those days are gone.

I've caught some bigger bull trout up there so I don't think it is unavailable to anadromous fish.

No, there was always a small group of guys who did it regularly but not like the last few years.
