Aquasphere swim training fins. Eva foam. I’ve had them for a few years and tried to find a backup pair recently and couldn’t find any so they might be discontinued. They are very lightweight.
I've gone back and forth with an Alpacka and now a Wilderness light float tube. Picture of my pack from last weekend after hiking down the large hill to that lake. Dry fly fishing next to the logs that surround the lake was great.
I believe the total pack weight comes in at around 8 pounds...
Good lake, easy access right off the highway. Its been a quality fish lake for years however the fish don't come easy. Fished it last year after word was making the rounds that the average fish had reached a good size. Late October and I was coming back from other lakes and spent about 6 hours...
Crystal Splash was a Spirit River product that is now discontinued. You can find old stock online at places like the Flyshack. It is the same material as Krystal Flash.
I was up there this past week M-Thurs. A truck in most pull outs even midweek. WA, MT, ID, OR plates. 3-5 driftboat trailers at HMSP take out each day. At least a couple sleds up and down the river. Few fish. Should improve as we move into April (the catching).
flyguys on youtube has lots of good bc patterns, also john kent on instagram, also look at (and maybe purchase) some of the flies online from little fort fly shop (sort by popularity). Or just tie and fish exactly what troutpocket posted above.
Loctite brushable. With every new bottle I clean the glue off the brush w acetone and then trim it down to half a dozen bristles. Brushable krazy glue is also good. It appears to be the same as the Wapsi fly tiers Z ment. I use super glue to coat chironomids and perdigons and loctite brushable...
