Well, the piece was written by Monte Burke, who I think knows a bit more than diddly. And I'll admit I've never gotten through more than a few pages of Walton but understand he was pretty much a bait guy.

The books are way better. That said, I think this season of the Netflix version was pretty good.

Well, the warranty was only for “the life of the product.” When it falls apart the life of the product was obviously over. Gotcha!

Was recently there, just a one night non-fishing visit. A terrific catch of the day grilled fish dinner at Smokey’s. Not much else I can say other than I liked the locale and hope I get there again, maybe even with a bit of fishing as well.

I take a large book, run the backing between the pages, and then stack weight on the book as needed to get the amount of tension desired. Works fine.
