... or what will you be watching?

Not sure about the rest of you folks, but I much prefer the winter Olympics over the summer. I just find the there are more compelling events. I'll be keeping a close watch on men's and women's Biathalon and X-country skiing, long and short track speed skating, bob sledding and luge, hockey, of course, all of the skiing and ski jumping events, and finally, the marquis event and every man and woman's favorite, CURLING (have a beer after you throw that rock!!!!!)

Go Canada!!!

cheers

Maybe I am prejudice against the current state of the country of China and maybe to a degree sports in general but I have never had as little interest in the Olympics in my life.
For those that are into it though I hope there's lots of great competition for you to watch..

Bobsled, luge and hockey...always liked those events, but probably won't watch much of them as I just don't watch much TV anymore.
Football season is about all the TV I do, after the Super Bowl I'll dump my fubo account till next season starts and then start up again.
:)
Go Bengals !!!

Hahaha about Curling @Canuck from Kansas ! (Of course! You might be the only one here who loves that event.)
I love the short track too and the ice skating. Not much for the summer Olympics but i do love the Winter Olympics. I need to bone up and find out some of the characters of these Olympians. I loved it when there were athletes with stories like (off the top of my head) Mark Spitz, Bode Miller, Tomba, Tanya Harding, Apollo Ono, Simone Biles, etc. Much like how i like to watch the NFL.

As always with the Olympics there will be some personal glimpses into the humanity and goodness of some of the young athletes that will be both inspirational and compelling. Those moments truly bring out the very best that sports at any level has to offer. Will be watching the performances of some of the kids from my former home towns and hoping they can achieve their goals regardless of what they might be.

I watched curling the last Winter Olympics. I watched enough to be impressed by some of the shooters.
The Korean woman was very impressive.

Be watching these guys for sure!

It's like a real life sequel to cool runnings. Feel the rhythm, feel the ride, get on up, it's bobsled time!

PS, there's a curling facility in the shoreline area (Granite Curling Club) that is really fun. Been there a few times, highly recommend it. Makes watching Curling in the Olympics waaaayy more interesting.

I think if I even watch it (doubted) I’ll be sure to stream it from bootleg sites that way I won’t add any viewership tallies.

I like watching the skiing. No judges to muck it up.

I am recording the Opening Ceremony and figure skating for my daughter who is off at school. She with watch it during spring break when she comes home...

Excited because a kid from my town is snowboarding in the Olympics!

@Jojo, curling is great fun, I like to watch that. Used to do it up at the Granite Curling Club. I was the novice, I shot lead and had a push broom, the other three guys were good and used straw.

The old straw brooms were the best - no one uses them any more, they should make it a rule that you have to use straw corn brooms

cheers

The guys used to fight over brooms and those with straw called those with push brooms posers. Very similar pro and con discussions such as we have about rods and reels. That was the 80's.
