Really enjoying looking through Rob Denson's site. He has a Hare's Ear Muddler . I'm familiar with this having done that SBS for the jigged bead head version, but I like the looks of his, and I'm thinking it will fish well like the muddler daddy.20221221_080301.jpg20221221_084855.jpg

I like the Starburst dubbing
I think it might mimic bubbles when fished
I use it on soft hackles in lakes

@Oliver1329 love your beetle pattern! I bet that slays 'em on the blue lines, and likely larger waters too.

I noticed your hook slip in your vice jaws a few times. Do you have the bend of the hook so far out and high for a reason? I think if you seated your hook back, and down just a bit further your hook wouldn't slip.

I know it doesn't matter in the end, the fly is gonna turn out the same, and fish the same. Just my OCD coming through when watching the video.

Thank you for the suggestions. I am going to have to try this. I also have noticed that sometimes my vise just looses its pressure on the hook. Like the tension pops loose.

Looks very hoppy! And not too complicated for my tying "skills", so I think I'll give it a try. Thank you!
