We've got the patch of nice weather happening now! Monday afternoon things are gonna start waking up i betHad fun making cork bass poppers so I decided to try a smaller version for panfish.
The dremel tool ended up working waaay better than a belt sander….and I had a few glued up fairly quickly.

The rattle can varnish was kinda clogged so it was more like a fire hose than a fine spray and it blasted the copic colors all to hell. Oh well…it’ll be interesting to find out if the little guys truly care if the fly has eyes

I like those ties! Where do you buy aero dry fibre?I haven’t posted any ties for a while, this is my ‘relatively indestructible’ raccoon. I’ve used Kapok for the body and the top is aero dry fibre, a hollow synthetic so these should float nicely in the film and being synthetic last longer than deer hair for sure and also I suspect foam re Norm F’s nice tie last week.

Yeah, it was not cheap and shipped from uk but took about a week. The kapok was also from semperfli. Also their nanosilk is really good, a superfine GSP and very forgiving re over wrapping dry flies.I like those ties! Where do you buy aero dry fibre?
Is it this? https://www.semperfli.net/Tmcaerowing.html
