Thanks for posting this one, seems like a really good beach pattern, I took a shot at some knock offs using what i had on hand, barred predator wrap for hackle.

Black & Yellow Hard-back Nymph

Hook - Standard nymph, size 10-12

Thread - Tan, brown, or black

Tail - Black hen hackle fibers

Body - Yellow dubbing saturated with clear lacquer, pinched flat with needle-nose pliers. Paint the dorsal area with black lacquer

Hackle - Black, trimmed on the top and bottom
