What's Catching You Fish?

My husband, my fishing buddy, and I all hit a local lake for stockers today, fishing from our Hobies.

It was slow till I put a specific fly on - I don't even know what to call it - then I quickly picked up a half dozen. Since I only had the one, I passed it to my buddy and she promptly caught several. She passed it to my hubby, and he got a few, also.
Here's the fly. It was tied with shed Moluccan Cockatoo feathers from my sister's domestically bred pet bird (all perfectly legal!)

Name ideas? I think I have more of the feathers somewhere...

Not even an invasive species?
I might keep some at some point, but right now they are fat getting ready to spawn. Since I haven't caught a bass up there in 2 years, and never on a fly, I like having crappie to play with. It's a man made lake with no inlet or outlet, so I'm OK with the invasives, quite a fun fish.

I'm ok with them too in some situations.

This fly got hammered by big pike and some largies the other day over the border in Wisconsin. Lost some material from pike teeth and pliers but it’s mostly all there

Was bass fishing but the pike also liked it

Hit a couple of lakes today and found a mixed bag. Hiked into the first with @Kfish after hitting a local beach where we both caught some SRC. That lake was a bit slow. We only found…

Some little stockers in this class…

A slightly better cutthroat….

And perch….

Also found this… @Northern are you missing something from your fly box? Did I stumble across one of your secret western Washington bass honey holes ;)???

After the first lake, kfish headed home and I decided to hit a different local lake. A bit better fishing but no monsters. The two biggest landed were 16 and 16.5 inches with a handful of others ranging from 12-14

The damsels I posted weren't quite what I hoped but with @singlehandjay 's comment I fished it with a bit more confidence. This is the aftershaft tailed one w/ shorter hackle.

I thought it looked crappy, and indeed it was a crappie fly. Got a fish quickly.

The red glass bead leech on point was a bit better, but not much.

Olive Willy, visible in the net near the tail. Speaking of nets, I have a question. This is my new net and there is a residue off rubber/plastic in the holes of the net, leaving thin fins of the plastic material. When I released this trout, a cloud of scales went into the water with it. My theory is that the thin blades of plastic material pop the scales off like a paint scraper as the trout flips around. Does that make sense? Had anyone had a similar issue/experience?
