I know that dance scene is Hollywood and I have so dancing has never been my thing. My wife and I were at a party one year when my coworker and her boyfriend started jitterbugging; certainly not like Hollywood but it was fun as heck to watch. Fun video and great music.
The swing dancing is great for sure...this song has a bunch of dancing videos online worth watching if you're into that style.
I've seen some swing dancing that was absolutely fantastic, and I'm not even into dance at all...but can't deny that talent.
My wife and I went to a Carl Palmer tribute show for Emerson Lake & Palmer…the dude is 76, still can crank on the skins…impressive. All of Emerson’s keyboard parts were played by the lead guitarist, which made his guitar sound like synthesizer & organ…and the bassist played a Chapman Stick, a twelve string instrument which has bass and melody strings so both can be played simultaneously
back in the day roomates and I hosted an Eddy Grant Tribute night kegger with huge Warhol-style multicolored Eddy heads printed out and tacked up all over the wall.... so much Ska, reggae, dub, punk..
(hat tip to our old WFF brother Terry Hamilton, RIP- these tunes make me think of you, as does pretty much any Kid Hops Positive Vibrations show on KEXP)
Speaking of good horns, rockin beats and everyone gets a solo.... True Loves (shameless plug as a friend is their Conga player) are resident musicians at Dimitrious Jazz Alley this weekend
