This winters varmint hunting

Good to see you, Bob.

Bob,

I would love to do that one day. I built a 6.5 Grendel gun I want to try on that. Do you ever welcome strangers to accompany you?

The Grendel would work just fine.

I’m not trying to be a jerk, but I usually don’t. I’ve had bad experiences with that. I enjoy my solitude. But I’d be glad to help you out and point you in a good direction.

Sunrise this morning was spectacular: I can't ever seem to capture a good image. Well done, Bob!
Thank you sir! The past few mornings have been unreal. We live in a good part of the state.

Bob,

You seem to score with great success when you go out on these hunts. How often would you say you'd get out in a month's time, once a week..? I'm assuming that with your success that you need to vary your location every time you go out..? I know how you'd feel being away into the open spaces like that and getting to savor solitude. Must be a great therapeutic way for reducing stress..

I’ve been struggling lately, I think all the dumb ones are gone. But… I try and get out at least 4 days a week or more when I’m home on my month off. Not only that, I need the exercise. I’m trying to get into shape, so I will hike 20 to 30 miles a week. I have acquired a lot private property to hunt over the last 15 years, so yes I mix it up every time I’m out, unless there are some problem areas where they are hassling livestock.

After one day of being in the house all day, I’m climbing the walls:) I do enjoy my quiet time! I need to remember that I love fishing also. I think that’s what I’ll do next week.

Bob,

What area do you work in, on the Columbia, on the coast or ALaska..? Must be fascinating work but long hours..

I had a S.E. gillnet permit in the eighty's, had some boat rides off Tree Point more than a few times , don't miss the long hours at all.
I hear ya, it’s not always fun! Life of a Tugboater…

This one is a bit over killer, but sometimes I require longer shots when they won’t come in.
