Hey y'all -
I'm hoping that if I start this thread, folks will jump in and add their own photos, and we can use this thread as a permanent in-house reference for hook buying.
Hook sizes are obviously nonstandard, both between makers and models. So, I'm proposing we all submit reference photos for hooks you use on a regular basis, with searchable text in the post body - that is, make and model. Ideal would be if we all use standard 1" 4x4 quad paper for the photos (but even just next to a ruler would be great.) A single hook is fine, but if you have multiple sizes of the same model, that would be even better!
In-pic labels are helpful but not necessary, as long as there's searchable text along with the photo.
This is what I have in mind:
TMC8089 Bass Bug, #6, #10
Firehole 516, Firehole 523, both #4
Gamakatsu B10S Stinger
Gami B10S Stinger
#3/0, #2/0, #6
Ahrex NS118 Classic Streamer D/E
#6, #4
Allen J200 Jig, #1, #4/0
And to add an incentive, I will donate $1 per photo to the Coastal Cutthroat Coalition for each photo submitted from now thru April 30, 2023!
(Oh hey, I'm already up to 5 bucks! )
