From the photograph It appears that its belly is ripped open. Beyond the resident (Southern Resident Killer Whales -> salmon eaters and Bigg's = Transient killer whales (marine mammal predators), there is a 3rd type of killer whale, "the offshores". I am surprised another gull wasn’t pecking its eyeball out.Not odd, weird or strange, but for how many seagulls there are on Puget Sound you rarely see a dead one on the beaches.
This one looked like it was in a deep sleep.
