A recent beach find. I believe it’s the head of a Northern Bearded Sea Monkey.
Goddamn is that ever a fine specimen Rainforest Gump. You're not even longarming it. We are not worthy.....
Got myself a nice cedar planter box. PLus the business part of a styrofoam glider. Going to see if meat tray wings will get that sucker airborne. driftwood mushroom action is heating up

Always think about something ending up like this, on the bottom of the lake. Not salvageable at this point. Some lures too.
Bones, one's a jawbone, for sure, the other I'm not sure. It looks like a mandible but without sockets for teeth, it had a kype-like upturn at midline, and presumptive articulation points at the ends. This was bone also, not cartilage- Thoughts on what it was from? The general size of this things is about 4 inches long with a 2.5 inch gap between the prongs....

A bit tangental but one of the most traumatic experiences I ever saw was as a student on a tour of a sewage plant. For younger readers, before taking selfies or whatever digital pics of a quite personal nature, one could only take a polaroid, a self exposing film. Folks would take snaps of stuff they were up too, typically sexual and then later flush them away thinking they were gone. Wrong, in the screening room the waste water passes over ever increasing smaller mesh screens to remove the junk/trash before the poopy water gets finally treated. One screen caught the Polaroids, which are pretty tough, and so there was a wall of shame reflecting most of Edinburgh's amateur snappers in all of their 'glory' moments; one of those moments where there were many things you can't unsee
I'll bet every sewage plant in the world had one of them back in the day.
