Sockeye and Chinook flies

Tied these up for our trip up to the Naknek River in Alaska. We'll be fishing 7/2-9. The sockeye flies are a bit of a variant from the ones I used last year. Honestly they didn't seem to particular. The chinook flies are articulated for a bit more action in the smaller creeks/side rivers.

Was there a few years ago when the sockeye run started. Unbelievable for this Colorado boy -the fish heading upstream looked like a ribbon of turquoise along the banks.
