Sets of lake flies

Legend
For Christmas I am tying 5 sets of twelve flies aimed at stillwater. Prefer they go to non tying and/or new stillwater fishers.
Haven’t tied them all yet but I am thinking two each of:
Olive leech
Black leech
Olive hairs ear nymph
Floating deer hair dragon nymph
Dubbed body olive Willy
Flashback halfback nymph.

I am moderately anti- bobber, so no chironomids.

First five private messages will get the flies. Shipping is included.

Great idea!

Such a great and generous thing you are doing!

Many of us are paying things forward for free to help others.

I hope others would do the same... hint hint.

There are lots of people experiencing tough times, usually in the shadows. Brightening their day is a wonderful thing.

Again, thank you for doing this.

You are welcome.
I fish the dragon fly nymphs on a line that sinks fast enough to be on the bottom. Typically a type 5 with a three to five foot leader.Fish slow to very slow with occasional bursts of several quick three inch strips. Fish often strike these softly and then hold on to them. I find it important if there is any sign of a bite ( like maybe a couple of quick pulls) to strip line so that it comes tight and you can feel if the fish is still there. Otherwise the fish may take the fly very deeply. Other times the strike seems very sudden and hard.

Rich, I just sent you a message but I wanted to show my appreciation on your thread as well. Package can in the mail last week and they are very fishy looking and well tied flies. Thank you for the generous gift. We don’t know each other but it’s clear that you’re a class act. Hope you have a great holiday sir!

Dave

I've been fortunate to be a recipient of Rich's flys in the past.
You won't find any nicer flys than those Rich ties.
First class flys and first class gentleman.
Thanks for your generous gifts Rich.
