Screws in bootfoots?

Anyone put Kold Kutters or other screws into Simms boot-foot waders with worn out felt?

I have some 5/8" that work great for their boots, but wasn't sure if the boot-foot wader bottoms/soles are thick enough for screws.

Emailed Simms and haven't heard back.

5/8" seems too long. I use 3/8" in both felt and vibram soled wading boots. The longer the screw shank, the more likely your feet are going to feel them even before they come through the insole.

Ditto for 3/8". But you can try the longer one. If it works, great. If not, nothing ruined. But kold kutters are cheap enough to get proper length.

I siggest you get replacement spiked felt soles and follow instructions and glue them on. I have done that in the past, fairly simple and it works real well.
