Sauk

Figured since there wasn't going to be a spring season I needed to get out and fish one of my favorite rivers before it shuts down for the year.

No unicorns to report, but we did lose 2 and landed a bull...oh well, hell of a day on a hell of a river.

Figured we'd pull out at Native Hole, so brought the Z drag kit. Always fun pulling the raft up a slope. Not sure why, I just like it.

So much good water on this river. Easy to want to come back.

I was hoping for some clouds, but I'm not going to complain. Beautiful morning.

This one in particular swam nicely.

See you next spring Sauk.

What a great river, I miss fishing it.

I fished there Sunday and Monday, then the Skagit on Tuesday. Sure do love those rivers and regard them still as my home water even though I moved away almost 30 years ago now. Three days was barely a taste.

I like your Z drag. I've pushed and pulled driftboats and rafts up that back for many years the old fashioned way: lots of sweat.

I used to just drive down and launch or pull out, that was a while back though lol.
